Intervention Services

Solo Practice - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

"In Our Own Words"

Franklin Bolgan

What Makes Us Different and Special:

"I am able to incorporate true life experience into each intervention. As an ex-wall street trader, I am well acquainted with the corporate world and understand the pressures and behaviors indigenous to it. Additionally, I have taught English, coached football and basketball, which has helped me in working with adolescents and young people. I have also had hands on experience with large scale crisis interventions such as 911 and Hurricane Katrina. Because I have abstained from drugs including alcohol for the past 12 years, I can empathize with those who are overpowered by the addiction. I believe my unique life experiences, combined with a true passion for helping others who are in need, can provide accurate assessment of a critical situation and facilitate change."

Overview of Practice:

"It is my mission to provide services to those whose lives, function, and well-being are compromised by addiction. These services are extended to the addicted person, as well as those family and friends who are adversely affected by this."

What Advice Would You Give to Prospective Clients:

"If you and others are feeling your loved one is in need of an intervention, it is wise to proceed. The goal should be to intervene in an orderly and forthright manner to lovingly confront the addiction and help your loved one understand that support is available and success is possible. If the loved one does not accept the intervention, family and friends must then make it clear, in a compassionate yet direct way, that they can no longer engage in enabling behavior."
