"Kartini Clinic was established in 1998 to better serve children and adolescents (Ages 6-22) who suffer from eating disorders."


Treatment Philosophy:

"We believe that parents do not cause eating disorders and children do not choose to have them."


Family Program:

"We conduct weekly family therapy with Masters level therapists, as well as weekly parent/team group conference with the medical director."

Position On Approach to Compulsive Overeating vs. Anorexia/Bulimia:

"We believe that anorexia and bulimia are inherited conditions steered by powerful but poorly understood brain chemistry."
