RainRock Treatment Center
Eating Disorders Long Term Residential Program

The Program
"In Its Own Words"

Self Description:

"RainRock is a small residential facility in a serene environment and beautiful natural setting treating anorexia and bulimia in a homelike setting."

Treatment Philosophy:

"RainRock utilizes standard APA treatment protocols and uses cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral therapy and a psychodynamic/interpersonal approach combined, believing that people can become fully recovered from eating disorders."

Family Program:

"Our extensive family program involves 1:1 sessions with the therapist and family as well as weekly multifamily groups and a monthly family weekend."

Position On 12 Step Involvement:

"We use 12 Step as an adjunct treatment."

Position On Approach to Compulsive Overeating vs. Anorexia/Bulimia:

"Treating compulsive overeaters is different from anorexia and bulimia, therefore we do not treatment compulsive overeaters at RainRock, but rather at our day treatment facility, The Eating Disorder Center of California in Brentwood, CA.

Additional Characteristics:

"We utilize recovered staff members who serve as role models and we incorporate our natural wilderness setting in our treatment, taking only 6-10 clients at a time, which allows for individualized treatment."
