"In Its Own Words"


Self Description:

"We offer 3 levels of care: inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. Patients receive group, individual, and family therapy. Our multi-disciplinary staff includes, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, registered dietitians, nurses, occupational and art therapists, and a certified teacher."

Treatment Philosophy:

"Our program offers individualized treatment planning which may include inpatient or outpatient services, or a combination of both. Individual, group and family therapy is provided by a multi-disciplinary team from a biopsychosocial perspective. Treatment includes psychotherapy, psychoeducation, medication and tutoring for school age patients."

Family Program:

"Families are involved throughout treatment. Family meetings are held as clinically indicated. We also offer a weekly "Friends and Family Support Group" which all family are encouraged to attend."

Position On 12 Step Involvement:

"Patients with substance abuse issues are encouraged to attend meetings."

Position On Approach to Compulsive Overeating vs. Anorexia/Bulimia:

"Treatment is specifically for those with anorexia or bulimia."

Additional Characteristics:

"We offer a full continuum of services. Patients receive individual therapy with their doctor and therapist daily. We have a certified teacher on staff and have tutors available. We are part of a general hospital and can treat medical problems as well."
