“Program is an intense 7 week group process, where you can learn how to use the guidelines of Alcoholics Anonymous in your daily life, in a safe environment on a long term basis.”

Treatment Philosophy:

“Simon House is an alcohol and drug addiction recovery home where men using the guidelines of Alcoholics Anonymous can examine and rebuild their lives.”

Approach to Dual Diagnosis:

“Limited dual diagnosis is accepted provided cognitive impairment is minimum.”

Family Program:

“Family involvement is encouraged and supported by having a regular monthly meeting with Al-Anon at the facility.”

Position on 12 Step Involvement:

“Alcoholics Anonymous 12 Steps are fully merged with solution-focused change methods so a client can develop his own personal recovery plan.”

Position on Confrontation:

“Empathetic confrontation is used to have a client realize that his denial of his addiction is blocking him from adopting new goals and objectives for sobriety and a new life.”

Additional Characteristics:

“Day program is optional; strong alumni involvement in fund development and client support; low cost housing provided to long term clients with at least one year sobriety, known as Phase 3 or Fellowship Houses.”
