Treatment Philosophy:

“We provide treatment based on each individual’s needs, treating people with dignity and respect and attempt to provide an holistic approach to recovery.”

Approach to Dual Diagnosis:

Family Program:

“Sunday is Family Day, films and discussions, Al-Anon presentation, private family counseling, as necessary.”

Additional Characteristics:

“Heavily focused on relapse prevention, high staff to client ratio, on-site AA/NA meetings daily”

Position on 12 Step Involvement:

“Sleepy Valley Center utilizes on-site A.A. meetings and the 12 Step recovery process as a practical, effective component of our overall treatment philosophy.

Position on Confrontation:

“High levels of motivational and inspirational techniques are utilized to begin to establish a positive mental attitude toward recovery and adjusting to life situations in general. With some patients, where resistance and/or denial hinders progress in treatment, confrontation is utilized as needed, and on an individual basis.”
