“Intensive, extended residential treatment for substance abuse and related (dual) disorders for adolescent females.”

Treatment Philosophy:

“Provide residential substance abuse treatment to adolescent females based on the 12 Steps of AA in a family type atmosphere with comprehensive, individualized performance based treatment designed to promote the mental, social, physical and spiritual growth of the teenager and her family.”

Approach to Dual Diagnosis:

“All clients must be diagnosed with substance abuse and appropriate cognitive behavioral or emotive therapy will be provided for all other diagnosis/difficulties/trends the client also has during her treatment process.”

Family Program:

“Family, as the basic foundation of a person’s life, is provided services that are intended to repair and revitalize the family in order that the family may be in recovery.”

Position on 12 Step Involvement:

“MSATU is dedicated to our clients being alcohol and drug free and the 12 Steps of AA form the foundation of the treatment program with clients being taught and required to work the 12 Steps daily as well as daily 12 Step meetings.”

“Confrontation is one means of providing feedback on barriers to recovery and is designed to be direct, immediate, constructive and solution oriented.”
