Self Description:
“The inpatient program is designed to safely withdraw the patient from their substance(s) abuse, relieve physical signs and symptoms of withdrawal, stablize all major co-existing medical problems and complications, address any comorbid psychiatric issues, construct an individualized comprehensive treatment plan, and facilitate the breakdown of the alibi system and denial by education about the nature of addiction.”
Treatment Philosophy:
“We offer a holistic treatment approach that utilizes current psychiatric, psychological, and addiction theory and practice to address addiction, which along with mental illness is viewed as an insidious primary disease characterized by pathological thinking and behavior patterns.”
Approach To Dual Diagnosis:
“We believe that many individuals suffer from dual diagnosis issues as they self-medicate for their emotional and/or physical pain.”
Family Program:
“We believe family members or significant others must be involved in the patient’s treatment in order to better understand the disease, learn positive coping skills, and be involved in the post treatment supportive continuing care plan.”
Position On 12 Step Involvement:
“We believe the principles of the 12 Step philosophy are vital to help establish awareness of powerlessness over chemicals and psychiatric disabilities, the necessity for abstinence and changes in lifestyles and behaviors that will reduce or eliminate future decompensation, and to give the patient tools to continue recovery and normalcy.”
Position on Confrontation:
“We believe confrontation is an effective tool when used properly and with respect to each individual’s emotional level of tolerance for confrontation.”
Additional Characteristics:
“We are committed to the following principles: service excellence, continuous improvement in measurable ways, employee development, ethical and fair treatment of all, teamwork, innovation in service delivery, and compassion.”
