Self Description:

“We are a full service freestanding licensed psychiatric program designed to treat dual diagnosis addiction problems. Our staff of six specific disciplines are skilled in addiction and psychiatric treatment.”

Treatment Philosophy:

“Our treatment goal is to provide treatment of addiction and psychiatric problems as one complex and interdependent phenomena – a method we call Dual Diagnosis Treatment. Specifically we move patients from delusions about the illness into reality.”

Approach to Dual Diagnosis:

“We are only a dual diagnosis program. We provide cognitive and behavioral therapy, and an average of 7 group therapy sessions per day, provided by 7 therapists (all with different backgrounds and training), thus our multidisciplinary team is very much hands on.”

Family Program:

“We involve the family as much as possible. We offer family therapy sessions weekly.”

Position on 12 Step Involvement:

“We offer 12 Step programming seven days per week.”

Position on Confrontation:

“We are careful when we use confrontation, given that most DDA patients are not receptive to confrontation. We use a Tough Love approach. However, if this seems to be not be effective we change our plan.”

Additional Characteristics:

“Dual diagnosis addiction treatment is our speciality. We seek to provide effective care to any psychiatric or psychological problems that are associated with any addiction. We have been doing this for 12 years.”
